 Why Hydrotherapy Minimize

The Fantastic Benefits of Hydrotherapy

• WARMTH of the water (29°C-30°C) assists with muscle relaxation, decreases pain and muscle spasm, and will assist with increase in  range of motion.

• HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE of the water reduces swelling by creating a  pressure in all directions to the body and limbs thus minimizing oedema in distal parts of the body during exercise.

• RESISTANCE of the water  creates a more strenuous exercise session which increases heart rate and oxygen consumption. It also allows increased range of motion with minimum pain.

• BOUYANCY of the water decreases the weight carried by the limbs during exercise and assists where poor co-ordination may be a problem.
